Live at The Pilot Light. Ambient Guitar. George Middlebrooks & David Clifton

April 10, 2018 by David Clifton Leave a Comment

On a cold winter’s night in November 2017, George and I got together for an evening of improvisational experimental music to play a concert at The Pilot Light, Knoxville Tennessee. It was recorded by Matt Honkonen as the first project in a series of improvised ambient guitar albums that we’re planning. The only condition and restriction that we give ourselves is that we don’t rehearse beforehand, and so everything is spontaneous on the night of the concert. Hard for me, as I like to have everything rehearsed and well prepared! I hope you enjoy it. My favourite comment so far is ‘music to do dishes and clean the flat to’ …!!
